About us

We are Digital Fracture, a small studio in Poole, Dorset. We build privacy-focused software, hand-built websites and managed hosting. This shop is where the rest of what we make ends up: the artwork, the characters and the odd bits of design that come out of the same studio.

Why the shop exists

Nano Bot started as a drawing that would not go away. He turned up in mockups, in test pages, and eventually on a mug. Enough people asked where they could get one that we made somewhere for them to.

Nothing here is a licensed character or a stock design. If it is on the shelf, we drew it.

Printed to order, on purpose

We do not hold stock. Each item is printed after you order it, then posted to you.

That means waiting a few days longer than you would for something sitting in a warehouse. In return, nothing gets made that nobody wanted, and no boxes of unsold shirts end up in landfill. It is the trade we would rather make.

The same care as the software

The shop you are reading this on is our own. We wrote it: the catalogue, the basket, the checkout, the emails, the invoices. It is the same work we do for clients, pointed at ourselves.

That is also why the privacy page is short and specific rather than four pages of boilerplate. We know exactly what this shop records, because we wrote the part that records it.

Getting hold of us

If it is about an order, the customer portal is quickest: your order number and the email you used at checkout will bring it up, along with tracking.
